On going projects:
February 2009 - Celia is establishing The Marine Foundation, a Non-profit organization with the aim of employing the creative arts to raise awareness, generate change and establish new and sustainable relationships with the oceans. http://themarinefoundation.org - Celia has been selected by Salt Ash, Cornwall to create a sculpture called the Bait Ball. The ball of fish will be made from fish shaped, laser-cut stainless steel welded into a swirling form that will catch light and shimmer like a moving bait Ball. Her design, selected by the community reflects their fishing heritage. The 5 m sculpture will be positioned with the famous Brunei Bridge that crosses the River Tamar as its backdrop. - Celia is a dive master and has been involved in various marine conservation projects, she is presently working in collaboration with marine scientist Tom Goreau who has invented a brilliant technique for the construction and preservation of coral reefs called Bio rock. Celia is creating designs for structures for an eco dive resort in Bali for August and developing the concept for sites in Egypt and Dubai. - In Her Studio Celia is working on a private commission for an exterior wall in Cornwall, on a range of sculptures exploring the ocean and its forms and artwork depicting goddess continuing in this ancient in a contemporary style. Celia Attended the BIO - Rock workshop in Gillli Trawangan In Indonesia and with Tom Goreau the scientist and inventor of the technique used to restore coral reefs created large scale Sculptures of a Turtle and a Manta Ray that are now sub-merged and a Living and growing coral reef nurseries. http://youtube.com October 2009
Worked with Stuart Craine Landscape designer creating mosaics for a swimming pool and surrounding area for Mark Sainsbury. Sept 08-completed an impressive exterior mosaic of a palm tree for a 4m high courtyard wall. Created in her new style in mirror and glass with a painted back-ground June 2009

- Worked on mosaics in Costa Rica Including an exterior shower and an exterior wall with a frangipani flower design on one side and bamboo on the other, both were created in her new minimalist style using mosaic and a painted back-ground. The extensive range of paint colours allows an expanded potential to play with colour. Celia was also establishing contacts for an eco - marine sculpture, diving the local sites gathering local marine knowledge and with research excursions with scientist Carlos Jiminez established the environmental and pollution issues of the area. Celia was short - listed by Rugby town council to develop her sculptural concept for the’ Echo the Nymph’ sculpture for Caldecott Park. December 2007 - August 2008
- Celia was selected with Toni Gray by Brentwood Council, Essex to create designs for a public installation for a 600m stretch of road that leads into town. The design process for the sculptures involved meetings with councils and ran workshops with the local primary and secondary school exploring and contributing to the conception and design. - Celia worked with an Islamic calligraphy expert to create spiritual artwork for a private client who is an Ismali Moslem. - Worked on a private commission in a mews house redesigned in a contemporary and minimalist style by architects Andy Martin assoc. The mosaic is of ‘Icarus’ a design by Matisse and is a focal work of bold colour in a building made from neutral tones. June – Nov 2007
- Worked with Stuart Craine Designs on a private roof terrace with a sea theme, mosaics covering the walls made from blue and green glass with mirror that catches the sunlight like ripples on the surface of the sea. June 2007
- Worked with Architects Andy Martin Assoc. restoring an original Victorian mosaic and then reflected the style in a contemporary floor mosaic inside The Hereford Restaurant, W2. - Selected by Wessex trains and Cornwall Arts Marketing Board to develop her sculpture concept for St. Ives train station. She came second and was asked to work with the winner David Kemp, she created mosaics for public sculpture now on view in the coastal town. Artist in - residence for Davies Lane Primary school, Leytonstone, designed and created an octopus mosaic sculptures for the play-area, robust enough for the children to clamber on. The children named the octopus Princess Natasha. Mosaics of dolphins leaping in waves and fish playing in seaweed were created during workshops by the kids and fixed to playgrounds walls. The older children made drawings of various games and activities, these drawings were enlarged to life size and mosaiced during workshops and then installed in the older play areas. http://davieslane.com/ Project manager for Toni Gray on the creation of a 40 - foot Green Man sculpture for The Custard factory, Birmingham. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/ Worked with Weymouth and Portland Harbour and local dive organisations on a project named Underwater attractions; a selection of innovative underwater installations including a sculpture trail. Celia dived the planned location and developed the concept for the sculpture trail. She established an educational link with the local secondary schools and negotiated relationships with all the varying groups involved in the process; Local Council, planners, tourist board, local stone carvers and sculptors. Insurance and ownership issues brought the project to an end. Large-scale mosaic project for the garden at Camborne Community Science College funded by Creative partnership. An ambitious landscape design, part of a national science project which involved the creation of a scale model of our solar system, relative to the rest of England, Cornwall is far away and therefore Camborne was selected to be Varuna, the new planet on the edge of the solar system. Varuna is an early Indian god and he formed the theme for a Hugh wall mosaic of the god designed by Celia and created by all ages during workshops that ran throughout the timetable of events that formed the extensive project. Designed and created a beautiful 15-metre long sculptural rattlesnake bar for the Rain forest Bar, Shaftsbury Avenue,. Each tile was cut to mimic the shape of a snake scale and curve along the curved surface like a real snakeskin. http://therainforestcafe.co.uk/ Created an impressive 3-metre high wall installation for the Ku Bar, Charring Cross rd., A dancing goddess made from materials gathered from the banks of the River Thames, It was then featured in House and garden magazine. Scorpio Nomads, a theme restaurant in Ireland commissioned a sculptured cobra and other art works. The Pelican Group established a new chain called Bar Room Bar, Hampstead and commissioned a mosaic pizza oven and Battersea, a wall mural in the garden. Created a Mosaic for the entrance of The Harrington Club, the private members club owned by Ronnie Wood. Other commercial projects include Beach Blanket Babylon restaurant-Ledbury rd All Saints Restaurant,London, Union bar,soho, O’Bar,Soho, Cafe de Marche,Soho,Tabac restaurant,Golbourne Rd and The Emporium Club,Soho Commissioned by Anness Publishing to conceive, design and co-author a coffee table book, Titled ’The Art Of Mosaic”. The mermaid mosaic appeared in the magazine 25 beautiful homes. Private clients include Nicole Kidman, Julia Sawala ,Absolutely fabulous and Rollo Armstrong of Faithless. Collaborated with Sam Roddick conceiving her Sensuality Lifestyle shop Coco De Mer, creating an image, a product range and ideas for the shop interior. Worked with BBC on Home front in the Garden; her task to complete large scale mosaics to a schedule, working in front and around a film crew. Commissioned by Innergy Yoga Centre and Yoga Place E2 to create devotional art panels she is regularly asked to create mosaics for private clients to inspire their yoga and meditation practice.
